I will always be grateful to Dr Wayne Dyer for his CD "Making the Shift". In 2010 I was going through a difficult time and happened to listen to this CD set.
Dr Dyer, quoting the Chinese sage LaoTzu, discusses the need to make an active commitment to being of service and living a life of virtue. When this is done, we are heard and all the help we need will be sent to us; like a child in a classroom holding up a hand, he/she will be noticed and responded to. Now despite all my previous spiritual study I had never heard it put that way before and I decided to give this commitment thing a try.
Soon after I spent a tearful afternoon telling God I wanted to sign up to be of service and do my best to live a virtuous life from then on.
A few days later I learned about a local woman who was seeking volunteers for a healing method called the Emotion Code. I responded, thinking that this might help me out or even (gasp!) be an answer to that commitment I made. After one session I knew that the Emotion Code worked; after two sessions I decided I wanted to learn how to do it.
Fast forward to today: I am now self-employed and working from my home office, helping folks with energy healing. I've never enjoyed my work more; I bless LaoTzu and Wayne Dyer for their guidance.
