One of the most exciting applications of energy healing is inner child work. The inner child is a fragment of a person which gets left behind due to past stress or trauma. In order for the client to move forward in life the subconscious mind makes a decision to put selected emotional baggage in the care of an inner child. The inner child stays stuck in time at the age this occurs holding the burden she has accepted. There can be several inner child fragments in a person's subconscious, each fragment will have a different age, some may even be of the opposite gender.
